Resources

Welcome to the Resources page for the 2nd edition of Suicide in Schools (2024).

We wrote Suicide in Schools so that professionals like you could have quick access to the right resources at the right time. We’ve created dozens of resources, from presentations on suicide prevention you can give to students or other professionals, grief and loss guides, to the whole Suicide in Schools (SiS) model which includes Screening, Assessment, Home-School Safety Plan, Monitoring, and Re-entry forms in English, Spanish and Portuguese. All of these resources are available for free. You can read about each and download your own copy here.

We arranged with the publishers (Routledge/Taylor & Francis) that “permission to reproduce is granted to purchasers of this text.” We did this for two reasons:

  1. Outside of screening forms, so many tools developed to identify suicide risk are expensive to purchase. We figured, if you bought the book (or if your district bought the book for you), then you shouldn’t have to pay more for the forms.
  2. We wanted you to be able to use the forms and resources without worrying about the legal ramifications. If you bought the book, you can use them as much as you want. The forms include minimal instructions because we have gone into great lengths in the book on how to use them.

In this resource page, you can find and download all of the resources one-by-one, or in bulk as a Zip file. These resources are also available at Erbacher Consulting Associates and the Routledge/Taylor & Francis publisher page.

Download resources for students, faculty, administrators, and community members for suicide prevention, assessment, intervention and postvention. We have links to peer-reviewed journal articles we have written.
